OSHA Online Workplace Safety Training

The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) was enacted by Congress in 1970 to assure safe and healthful working conditions in order to preserve our human resources. The Secretary of Labor can set mandatory occupational safety and health standards applicable to businesses affecting interstate commerce. As authorized by Title 29 U.S. Code of Federal Regulation, Section 21, the Secretary can mandate training programs and reporting procedures and encourage the States to assume responsibility for the enforcement of occupational safety and health laws. Currently 26 states have approved programs for occupational health and safety.

Who should consider OSHA training? Many states require mandatory training for many different industries, but every employer should consider compliance with the regulations and general safety and health training for every employee.

Vale Online offers three of the foremost workplace safety online training categories of courses for many different industries and occupations:

Online OSHA Construction Safety

California is one of the 26 states that has approved OSHA programs that are monitored by CAL OSHA standards. Click here to view the list of 12 California online classes in addition to 21 other construction safety categories and 13 of the courses offered in Spanish.

Online OSHA General Industry Courses

This category of courses offers 32 one hour classes for every industry and business from hazardous materials, workplace violence, blood borne pathogens, electrical, machinery, ergonomics and many more. Also offers a HACCP Food Safety course and a NFPA 70E electrical safety course.

Online OSHA Outreach Training Programs

The OSHA General Industry Outreach Training courses are specifically designed for safety directors, foremen, field supervisors and employees. The courses provide complete information on OSHA compliance issues. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1910. General industry workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the 30 hour General Industry course, participants will receive an OSHA general industry safety and health 30-hour course completion card from the Department of Labor. Note: This online course has been reviewed and accepted by OSHA for online distribution. There are an additional 11 courses available in this category.
